Maile Armstrong
Maile Armstrong joined the RAP staff in 2004 and coordinates the overall program providing training, resources and risk management. A former camp director for Girl Scouts, Camp Fire and a private camp, Maile has also directed a day care center and was Associate for Christian Education for St. James’ Episcopal Church, Mt. Vernon, VA. She is a Certified Camp Director from the American Camp Association, is the Standards Chair for the American Camp Association, Virginias Section and the President of the Friends of the Montvale Library. Maile teaches First Aid and CPR for the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. Maile has spent her professional career in youth development and has significant experience in supervising and training staff for camps, day care centers and youth programs and in managing facilities and supervising risk management. Maile is the owner of Armstrong Unlimited, a company which provides training services and resources for camps, day care centers and youth programs. Maile is a member of ST. James Episcopal Church-Roanoke, and has served on the Vestry. She lives in Montvale with her dog Umi.
