Geno Iannacone
Geno Iannacone has been leading RAP trips for 14 years. He is a chemist at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., and lives nearby with his wife, Karen, daughter, Francesca, dog, Alice, and cat, Gilbert. Geno is a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Blacksburg where he has served on the vestry and as senior warden numerous times. He is also an active member of several Diocesan committees.
When asked why he likes being part of this program, Geno stated that he enjoys teaching people new skills and seeing them successfully meet new challenges. He also enjoys sharing the excitement and adventure of any outdoor experience. In addition to canoeing, Geno likes to paddle whitewater and sea kayaks, rides roads bikes, and in the winter enjoys downhill skiing.You can e-mail Geno at genoi@vt.edu.
