RAP Schedule
Trip Offerings 2008:
Week Long Adventures: Each trip begins with 1 night at Camp Bethel. Participants then spend 4-5 days and nights on the river, paddling, camping, cooking, and learning to live as Christians. Our last day is at Camp Bethel, ending with a Eucharist celebration before leaving Friday evening at 6:30. Cost is $215 by May 1/$235 after May 1 per session.
James (rising 7th-8th grades): June 15-20: 4 days and 3 nights on the James River. The trip will take paddlers 30+ miles on the beautiful and historic James River from Springwood Bridge in Botetourt County to Balcony Falls and Snowden Dam in Rockbridge County. This trip is an entry level trip and designed for beginning paddlers. Participates will learn basic paddling, river reading and water safety skills. The trip includes class one, two, and one class three. All participants must be able to swim.

New I (rising 8th-9th grades): June 22 - June 25: 5 days and 4 nights on the New River. The trip will take paddlers 30+ miles on the New River from Radford Falls in Montgomery Co. to Glen Lyn in Giles Co. Although this trip is an entry level trip it is more challenging than the James River trip and includes class one, twos, and threes. Paddlers will navigate 3 water falls. All participants must be able to swim.

New II (rising 10th,11th, 12th grades): June 29 - July 4: 5 days and 4 nights on the New River. The trip will take paddlers 30+ miles on the New River from Radford Falls in Montgomery Co. to Glen Lyn in Giles Co. Day Trips: Families and adults can join us for a day on a local river. We provide the necessary equipment and training, you provide lunch and your own transport to the river. Leaders will contact participants prior to trip with directions. Participants under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM.
Cost is $10/Adult, $5/child or $20/ Family (maximum).

Women’s Trip: August 15-16
Come enjoy fellowship and peace with other women as we meet for dinner on Friday evening, camp riverside, and paddle a section of the New River on Saturday. Price includes food and all gear except personal items. What better way to relieve stress and enjoy God’s creation! Cost is $50.
